1. What we collect

When you play as a guest

When you sign in with Apple

Game Center

If you are signed in to Game Center, the app reads your Game Center player identifier (an identifier Apple issues for our games only) and the identifiers of your Game Center friends. We store your identifier with your Spellhunt account. Each time you sign in to Game Center, we use your friends’ identifiers to find which of them already play Spellhunt and add them as friends; we do not store your friends list itself. The app also reports scores and achievements to Game Center, where Apple’s terms apply.

Purchases

Purchases and subscriptions go through Apple. We never receive your card or billing details. We receive what we need to give you what you bought: the product, transaction identifiers, purchase and expiry dates, and notices from Apple about renewals, cancellations and refunds. Purchases made while signed in are tagged with your Spellhunt account so they can be matched to it.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, we store your device’s Apple push token so we can send you a streak reminder, league results and friend activity. You can turn these off at any time in iOS Settings.

Messages you send us

Usage statistics

The app sends usage events to TelemetryDeck, for example that a puzzle was started or finished, a share was tapped, a paywall was shown, or an ad was requested. Each event carries the random app identifier, a session identifier, the app version, your language setting, the region from your device settings, whether you have Spellhunt Plus, and an experiment group number. It does not include your name, email, player name or advertising identifier.

Photos

If you choose to save a Solve Replay video, the app asks for permission to add it to your photo library. It never reads your photos.

Technical data

Like any internet service, our servers receive your IP address with each request. We store a one-way hash of it (not the address itself) with Daily results and in rate-limit counters, to detect cheating and limit abuse. We do not use IP addresses to locate you.

2. How we use it

3. What other players can see

If you set a player name, other players can see it with your level, league tier and points on league tables, friends boards and the Legend board. Without a name you appear as “A player”. Your friends can see your Daily time. When you share a link (a Daily result, league card, replay, challenge, custom puzzle or friend invite), anyone who has the link can open what it points to.

4. Companies that help us

We share information only with the companies below, and only for the purposes listed. They process it for us under their own terms and privacy policies.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect players or our rights, or as part of a sale or reorganization of our business, in which case this policy continues to apply to it.

5. Ads, tracking and consent

6. How long we keep it

7. Deleting your account and data

In the app, open the You tab and choose Delete account. Deletion takes effect immediately and cannot be undone. It:

Purchases stay with your Apple ID and can be restored on a new account. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription; cancel it with Apple (see Support).

If you play as a guest, deleting the app removes your local progress. To delete the device record on our server, or for any other deletion request, email support@spellhunt.app.

8. Your other choices

9. Children

Spellhunt is not directed at children under 13, and leagues are only for players who confirm they are 13 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, email support@spellhunt.app and we will delete it.

10. California residents

In the last 12 months we have collected these categories of personal information, for the purposes in section 2: identifiers (app identifier, Apple user identifier, email address, Game Center identifier, push token, IP address); commercial information (purchases); internet or other electronic activity (gameplay and usage events, ad interactions); and inferences limited to experiment groups. We disclose them to the service providers in section 4.

We do not sell personal information for money. When you allow tracking, Google may use your advertising identifier for personalized ads, which California law can treat as “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can opt out by not allowing tracking (iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking), or by buying Remove Ads or Spellhunt Plus. We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.

You have the right to know what we collect, to get a copy, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of sale or sharing, and we will not treat you differently for using these rights. To use them, delete your account in the app or email support@spellhunt.app. We may need to confirm the request comes from you. An authorized agent can make a request for you with your written permission.

11. EEA, UK and Switzerland

Silk Creative Labs LLC is the controller of your personal information. We rely on these legal bases:

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our use of your information, and to receive it in a portable format. Email support@spellhunt.app. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, transfers rely on safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

12. Security and where data is stored

Information is sent over encrypted connections. Access to our database is restricted, each player can read only their own private data, and sensitive operations run on our server rather than on your device. No system is perfectly secure, so if you find a problem, please tell us.

13. This website

spellhunt.app does not use cookies, analytics or ads. Our host, Vercel, processes standard request data such as your IP address to deliver pages and protect the site. Share links on this site (for example spellhunt.app/f/…) only point you to the app and do not record who opened them; when the app opens one, the app records that a shared link was opened.

14. Changes and contact

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top, and for significant changes we will tell you in the app. Questions or requests: support@spellhunt.app.
