Yes. Every puzzle, including the Daily, the campaign and leagues, is free to play. The free game shows a limited number of ads between puzzles. Spellhunt Plus is an optional subscription with extras such as no interruptions and a weekly streak freeze, and Remove Ads is a one-time purchase. See Spellhunt Plus.

iPhone and iPad, on iOS 18 or later. On iPad the grid and word list sit side by side when you hold it sideways. There is no Android version.

No. You can play straight away as a guest, and your progress is saved on your device. Sign in with Apple when you want a ranked Daily time, leagues, the friends board, or your progress synced across devices. Spellhunt asks Apple only for an email address, which can be a Hide My Email address.

Yes. The campaign and the Daily both work offline, as long as today's Daily reached your device, which usually happens overnight. Your Daily result is sent when you're back online, and your rank updates then. Leagues and live rankings need a connection.

No. Play as many puzzles as you like. Nothing runs out, and no timer ever ends a puzzle. Relax mode hides clocks and rankings entirely.

At midnight where you are. The Today tab counts down to the next one once you've solved today's. See the Daily puzzle.

Yes. Every player in English gets the same grid, words and theme each day, which is what makes comparing times fair. Friday's Daily is a Zigzag puzzle, for everyone.

A few possible reasons. Until 100 players have solved that day's Daily, your time is compared with yesterday's players instead. Guests need to sign in with Apple to get a ranked time. Relax mode hides rankings unless you ask to see them. And past Dailies from the archive are never ranked.

Every ranked Daily time is checked on our server before it counts: the grid is rebuilt from the day's puzzle and every found word and its timing is checked. Times that can't be verified are kept but not ranked. Unusually fast times are marked as under review rather than hidden, and leagues are made only of real players, never bots.

Two ways: the first time you become friends with someone through an invite link, you both get one, and Spellhunt Plus gives you one free each week. You can hold two at a time, and they're used automatically on a day you miss. See streaks and freezes.

Leagues need you to be signed in with Apple and to confirm you're 13 or older. If you join from Thursday onwards, your league starts the following Monday, and a new league needs at least 10 players waiting in your tier. See leagues.

In the Leagues tab, tap Invite a friend and send the link. When they open it in Spellhunt, you're friends. You can also add Game Center friends who play. See playing with friends.

Sign in with Apple on both devices and your streak, progress and league place sync to your account. The support page has the details, including how to bring guest progress with you.

Restore purchases is in the Shop, under You. Subscriptions are managed by Apple in the Settings app, under your name and then Subscriptions. Step-by-step instructions are on the support page.

What the game needs to work, such as your progress, your Daily results and, if you sign in, the email Apple shares, plus usage statistics tied to a random app identifier rather than your name, and what ads require. The privacy policy lists everything, why, and how to delete it.
